Why do you enjoy all your tasks?
I could write about this for ages, but I have a passion for connecting people to artists, musicians, books, fashion, tech, opinions and stuff they might not think to check out. Life and music in Louisiana extends beyond top 40 and premade Spotify playlists.

What is your favorite music genre?
I have the most musical ADD on staff, by far. My roots are in classic and alternative rock but I've really come to love an eccelectic mix of reggaeton, rap, tropical house, folk, rock, and essentially whatever sounds good.

Describe yourself in one sentence.
I can not be tamed. Thanks for that one Miley Cyrus.

Why do I enjoy photograpy?

Photography has always held a special place in my heart, because it serves artistic and documentation purposes. A photograph creates something tangible out of a memory so that we can share an experience or moment that only happens once. Photography is extremely important, and I couldn’t picture my life without it!

What is your favorite music genre?
I can appreciate any genre of music, but I go bananas over pop punk, indie rock, and post-hardcore!

Describe yourself in one sentence:
I’m a music, art and wine loving nerd.

Why do you enjoy photography?
I think that photography is a tool that enables us to preserve what makes our culture so special. What better place to practice than New Orleans, the cultural hub of America?

What is your favorite music genre?
Oh boy, I like everything. I’m a classical performance major at Loyola, so i’m constantly being hit with new music. I really like early 2000’s alt music like Brand New and American Football.

Describe yourself in one sentence.
I like to wear sweatshirts and eat tacos.

Why do you love to write?
To me, writing is such an intimate and sincere form of expression. Regardless of what I'm writing about, I can feel a little part of myself seep into every paragraph, every story. With every piece I write, I leave behind a breadcrumb trail of thoughts that I can look back on and learn from. There is something to be said about seeing your own words in print. It not only gives the writer insight into themselves, it opens up a discussion for others, for like-minded individuals to see that there are others with their thoughts and ideas. I think many writers hope that maybe the readers can see a little bit of themselves in their words too.

What's your favorite genre of music?
I truly love all music, so it's hard to pinpoint a specific genre. If I had to pick, I'd say rock and pop. I love Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Journey, Prince, Peter Frampton, Santana, Fleetwood Mac, Adele, Beyonce, Lana Del Rey, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, and so many more.

Describe yourself in one sentence.
I believe that love, kindness, and humanity can be strong enough to move mountains.

Why do you love to write?

Personally, I believe writing is an escape as well as an anchor, and that it is one of the most beautiful forms of art. Because the written word is not simply speech on paper – just like art, it requires practice, finesse, and a “voice”. I have always tried to make up for what I lack as a speaker by honing my skills as a writer. So, why do I love to write? Because virtually no one speaks in standard written English. You cannot rely on body language, facial expression, verbal exaggeration… You can’t see the writer, and you may not know the writer; the only thing you as a reader can judge are the words, and there is something beautifully cryptic about that.

What is your favorite genre of music?

That’s a hard question because my taste in music is constantly changing. For me, lyrics transcend genre, but if I’d have to pick I’d say my musical mainstay would be Elvis Costello. I’ve also grown to really appreciate the funk, jazz, and soul genres New Orleans is known for.

Describe yourself in one sentence

I’m optimistically pessimistic and selfishly altruistic.
