No, we won't forget to see you Brian Fallon

Fallon's single Forget Me Not

After releasing his second solo album Sleepwalkers in February, Brian Fallon will be kicking off the American leg of his tour on March 26 in Nashville, Tennessee. The tour will continue on to Western Europe and wrap up on June 24 in Scheessel, Germany.

Before releasing his solo work, Fallon rose to prominence in 2006 as lead vocalist for rock band The Gaslight Anthem, with their greatest hits including “The ‘59 Sound” and “Great Expectations.” Fallon branched out in 2011 by partnering with guitarist Ian Perkins and forming The Horrible Crowes, a side project of Fallon’s featuring a darker, more soulful and modern sound.

Fans and critics have often compared Fallon’s work for The Gaslight Anthem to that of Bruce Springsteen’s. While the Gaslight Anthem’s “American Slang” may sound reminiscent of Springsteen’s “Born To Run,” and while both Fallon and Springsteen are New Jersey natives who performed together in 2009, Fallon demonstrates that he is not simply a Springsteen imitator but an artist in his own right. Sleepwalkers boasts a multitude of sounds and influences including New Orleans brass in “Sleepwalkers,” classic rock guitar riffs in “My Name Is The Night (Color Me Black),” and lyrics that point to Fallon’s New Jersey childhood in “Come Wander With Me” to create an album that reveals Fallon’s evolution as a musician as well as the richness of his personal experiences.

Ruston Kelly will be opening for Fallon and should prove an excellent complement with a sound that leans softer, folksy, and acoustic with hints of country guitar and fiddle. For fans in Houston, Fallon will be performing on March 29, 2018 at The Heights Theater. The show begins at 8 pm with doors opening at 7 pm.
