Will you be getting Naughty this Friday?

While one can feel the heart and soul of New Orleans in their music, Naughty Professor is no ordinary jazz band. After releasing their fifth album Identity in June 2017, Naughty Professor is on tour and ready to demonstrate that their energetic sound inspired by the eclectic music scene of New Orleans is both rich in history and decisively modern.

The jazz-funk sextet now known as Naughty Professor began as a group of students in Loyola University’s jazz program in 2010. Since then, they have toured and released five albums. Naughty Professor has been met with praise from fans and critics alike.

For Naughty Professor, fun is not optional. According to the band’s drummer Sam Shahin, they enjoy combinging the sounds of jazz with the bridge and chorus structures of modern music. In doing so, Naughty Professor breathes new life into an already vivacious style of music by making it fresh and accessible for today’s audiences.

For fans in Houston, Naughty Professor will be performing on 3/30 at 8PM at Last Concert Cafe.

Naughty Professor will continue to tour throughout the South and Midwest, visiting venues in Louisiana, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio and ending in Washington D.C. in October.
