-Hey! Wanted to lead off thanking you for taking time to interview with us before your album release. Let's open up with a few questions about the upcoming album-what inspired the album? Will there be anything special listeners should take note of?

Q1 We wanted to make an honest record that felt modern and represented how we sound live.

    B) We think there’s a couple of surprises on this record but in particular we are excited to showcase songs like ‘Falling From The Sun’ “Enemies”, “Let It Roll” and “Denial” as all of these songs display something different musically from the band. This album has a bit if everything from Hard rock to rock to alternative it's honest, introspective and personal.

-You come from across the globe-can you share how you met and how the band formed? What from your background have you brought to your music?

Luke: ‘I met Tomás in Chicago through the website used by  musicians to jam together called Bandmix . At that point we had being playing songs that I had brought with me from my project in Ireland and we had different musicians playing the guitar and bass. As time went on things started to shift musically and we began to move in a different direction from everybody else in the band. Tomás mentioned his brother Alejandro and Arturo back in Venezuela would be perfect to come here and fill those slots and that was the start of the band as it is.

    B)  I think obviously our love for rock music is a key factor but really our determination and our drive to push it as far as we can.

-Word is that some of your music was influenced by depression and addiction-two major problems that are coming to light-how have those topics influenced your music? Any advice to readers or fans that fin themselves suffering from either?

Q3 I  write about what I experience, these are subjects I am close too they are not unique but I feel I can speak to the impact they have had on me in my life and the people around me. Putting these thoughts down on paper is like a form of therapy for me and sometimes I can only gain perspective of where I've been by doing so. We all have  obstacles to overcome in life and I remember music being one of the earliest out lets for me. I found myself gravitating towards artists that I could relate to and I try in my own music to be honest and do the same.

    B) Yes there is lots of help and support which is completely free out there for anybody that is suffering from either addiction issues or depression. The hardest part was asking for help. For me personally coming up on six years of sobriety I have found that abstinence based group recovery worked and continues to work for me.

-You hail from Chicago-where is your favorite pizza in town?

    Q4 Coal Fire Pizza

     Blacklist Regulars performing Superhuman

-Is there anything unique to Chicago's music scene readers should know about? How can we encourage people to catch a show while they are in town?

Q5 We have some unique venues for local rock music check out Reggies, Liars Club and Subterranean there’s a pretty decent local rock scene that seems to be growing.
    B) You can check out all of the local and National bands coming to Chicago through sites like The Daily Herald or timeout for bigger events and festivals mainly.

-Who would you say influences your music the most?

Q6 We are influenced by a lot of bands but if we had to pick a top 3 it would be Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and  Stone Temple Pilots

-Do you have a tour planned for the future? What is your favorite part of touring?

Q7 We currently have a tour in place to support our releases focusing currently on the midwest which you can check out on our website at www.blacklistregulars.com
B). Traveling to different states, which is still new to us. Meeting other bands, gaining new fans and performing. We are learning new things all the time about the band playing live.
